This site does not use advertising trackers, analytics scripts or a mailing-list form. Workshop registration does not subscribe you to marketing messages.

Workshop registration and waivers

When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, phone number, emergency contact name, relationship and phone number, typed signature and your affirmative consent choices. Please obtain your emergency contact’s permission before sharing their details. Do not enter medical histories into the registration form; discuss relevant accommodations privately with Debbie.

We save the exact waiver and registration statements you accepted, the waiver version, the server-recorded signing time and a registration reference. We also keep your registration status, Square payment reference and payment time. These records are used to administer the workshop, contact you about your registration, respond to emergencies and maintain participation, payment and consent records.

Records are stored using Cloudflare’s hosting and database services and are available to authorized workshop administrators. Information may be shared as reasonably needed for those purposes or as required by law. Service providers may process information outside Canada. Records are retained as needed for workshop administration, insurance, dispute resolution and applicable legal obligations, then securely deleted. Contact Debbie to request access or correction, or to ask about retention or deletion; some records may need to be retained for legal or insurance purposes.

Payment

Card fields are embedded in the signup page using Square’s secure Web Payments form. Card numbers and security codes go directly to Square and are not received or stored by this website. Square receives the contact, order and payment information needed to process the charge and provide a receipt under its own privacy practices. After Square confirms the card payment, the site automatically confirms the registration and stores the Square order and payment references, card brand and last four digits.

Your copy

After successful payment, you can save or print your paid registration, tax summary and signed waiver. This copy includes Debbie Wilson’s HST registration number. Square also provides the official card payment receipt. Store these records privately because they contain personal information.

Cookies and browser storage

The signup form uses a temporary submission reference in your browser’s session storage to help prevent duplicate submissions when you retry. It does not put your contact details, signed waiver or card details in that storage. The private administration area uses a secure, session cookie that expires after eight hours to keep authorized administrators signed in.

Website hosting and security

Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect the website. The site uses rate limits to reduce automated submissions and password guessing. Application error logging does not intentionally include registration details, signatures, passwords or card details. Other content and links

The book cover loads from Amazon and video thumbnails load from YouTube. These providers receive technical request information when images load. Videos open on YouTube when you choose to watch them. Links to other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices.
